About Anna Seo

Anna Seo, MA, Med, is an art therapist with master’s degrees from Ewha Womans University in Korea and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Expressive Therapies at Lesley University. Anna has worked with clients across the lifespan, including those affected by cancer, grief, and trauma, exploring how art therapy can support healing and meaning-making in times of loss.
Art therapy, one of the therapeutic approaches she offers, is a form of psychotherapy that helps individuals express emotions and experiences that are difficult to articulate in words through creative visual expression. This process allows for emotional release and facilitates healing. It has proven to be a powerful tool for emotional recovery and self-understanding across diverse life contexts. It is especially helpful for individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, chronic illness, or trauma.

Fluent in Korean and Japanese, Anna brings a multicultural lens to her work. She is sensitive to the emotional complexities of migration, identity, and intergenerational challenges, and is dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate space where clients can reconnect with their inner voice and sense of purpose.
